This series of workshops will be held in alternate years in Frascati, Pavia and Como. Each workshop will focus on one topic, selected from among the most lively topics in nuclear and sub-nuclear physics, astrophysics, earth science, mathematics, instrumentation, electronics, computing, and others. The format of the workshops will consist of plenary sessions devoted in part to invited talks by eminent scientists reviewing key topics in the field, and in part to selected presentations by young researchers on new achievements. The best presentations by young scientists will receive awards and credits. An additional mission of this new series of workshops is to convey the importance of the selected topics to the general public. Each year, the program will therefore feature at least one popular lecture (in Italian) open to general public. |
